Junior Hire Controller

Position: Junior Hire Controller

Location: Livingston, West Lothian

Start: Immediate

As Junior Hire Controller, you will report directly to the Depot Manager who will provide support on a day to day basis.  The job will include an excellent salary, 25 days paid annual leave plus Bank Holidays.


The role includes (but is not restricted to) the following activities/responsibilities:

  • Negotiating contracts with existing and new customers
  • Maintain/Build long term customer relationships with customers
  • Maintain all aspects of the in-house database (MCS) for on hires/off hires
  • Follow all John F Hunt processes and procedures in line with ISO Management System
  • Ensure high levels of service are provided at all times
  • Liaise with staff at other John F Hunt Power depots
  • General Office duties including filing, scanning etc.
  • Liaise with customer and John F Hunt staff to ensure any breakdowns are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Adhere to health & Safety guidelines at all times

  • Competent levels of IT understanding using Excel, word etc. In house windows-based system (MCS – Training provided)
